I came to the Refugio campsite in Refugio Tx, to work on Coondogs and Jerri Balderree's Motor home. They had called me with there problem and me being the poor truck driver i am .,I thought i could fix the problem. Well IU did fix it temporary where they could safely make trip back home..I saw many of my Old friends from the ride's in the past.. Yes to all who were wondering Charles Yancey Is alive and well.. I'm a member and trail boss for 2013-2014 valley riding club but not much riding goes on, I live in Crawford, Texas and travel as far as the valley several times a year to include the Big 5 day ride in March I enjoy viewing your web site and would like to join in some rides.

It is with great sorrow that i send this e-mail. My father Joe Ysasi was a long time member since the early 70's to about 2003 along with my brothers Robert, Ruben & myself. My dad passed away July 17th, so it would mean a lot if you add him to the memorial list. thank you so much. Do the school districts in your trail route (towns) take advantage of your activity to teach the children about the "long live the cowboys"? It should be a field trip activity so the children have the experience of seen the cowboys, the wagon, etc. I do not hear of such activity in the CCISD. I maybe I am wrong. Our students need to be keep up with the "our old good traditions."

Hi all this is Amanda Elliott "Richardson" i miss the ride very much and enjoy seeing whats going on there via the pictures on the web site. im hoping some one might be able to help me i still had my old blck trail ride shirt when i got hit head on in a car crash due to my injures they had to cut shirt off and well it really upsets me that i no longer have that shirt. if some one can please let me know if those shirts are still around and whom i need to reach out to to get one sent to me here in fl i would really apperacate it. hope yall have fun on ride and i can soon make it back to a ride.

Cleaning up after the devastating spring floods in our area (Smithland, KY), I found in my father-in-law's few possessions a South Texas Trail Riders 1991 button with his name taped across the top. Later I discovered a packet of photos with wagon trains, and trail riders that I assume were taken at the time of this event. My f-i-l, Judge Ralph Smith, is now in a nursing home and no longer able to tell me about this adventure he took with his brother and wife, Hiram and Ann Smith, but I can only imagine how much fun he had. Any chance some group pictures were taken that I might find him in? K. Smith, Paducah, KY
